There's a new A.T. boot on the market this season. It's called
"The Virus". Designed by freeskiing legend Glen Plake, and brought to you by Italian boot maker Dalbello. Arguably the lightest and most articulate a.t. boot out there.
It's available in three models: Lite, Tour, and Free. Pictured is the Lite. It features Pebax plastic,
and intuition heat moldable liners.
Also featured on all of the models is a full length Vibram sole with harder heel and toe contact points for those on DIN bindings,
super sticky tread for rocky approaches,
locking two piece tongue for better ski articulation and longer strides,
and clip retainers if you want to climb unbuckled.
This boot is far and away the most comfortable on the climb and responsive on the descent boot I've ever toured in.
